How do I upload my video to enter?

To upload you must first be registered. You can register by clicking here. After you complete your registration and sign in to the site, Click here to check out our upload page and find all the information you need to upload your video.

What if I don't get a confirmation email?

You should receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of registration. If you use a Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.account, be sure to check your spam folder incase it was blocked.

My video isn't uploading properly. Who can I contact?

Please contact our customer service team at webmasterscott@fastweb.com with any questions you might have about uploading your video to our site.

What video file formats do you accept?

All your favorites, including MPEG4 (3ivx, DivX, Xvid, H264), DV and DVCPro (not anamorphic), FLV (VP6 and Sorenson Spark), WMV (up to version 9 - no DRM!), MOV (Sorenson Video 3, H263, H264, animation), MPEG1 and MPEG2 video, AVI video (Indeo, Cinepak, Motion JPEG, MPEG)

I've never made a video before. How do I make a video?

Is there anything I'm not allowed to do in my video?

Copyrighted content is prohibited, as well as videos that contain inappropriate or offensive language, themes or images. FastWeb retains the right to remove any video we deem inappropriate. Remember, you can't win the four grand if you get thrown out for rudeness.

How do I know if I have successfully applied?

When your video is successfully submitted you will receive a confirmation thank you page, as well as an automatically generated email with a link to your video. Successfully submitted videos will also be listed in the newest uploads category on the browse page.

How will the winner be chosen?

The person with the most votes at the conclusion of the scholarship and contest will be declared our grand prize winner. Those videos with the second most votes will receive prizes as well.

How much can I win?

There are many ways to win. The top-vote getter will receive $2,500 with second place vote getter receiving 1,500. Plus, whenever you vote, you will receive one entry in a random drawing. After the voting period closes, we will conduct the random drawing and pick one $1, 000 winner from all qualifying vote entries.

Why should I vote?

Each time you vote, you are entered into a $1000 drawing (separate from the other contests). One lucky voter will take home $1000 just for voting!

Can I vote for my own submission?

Yes. In fact, you are encouraged to. Feel free to come back and vote for your video (or anyone else's) as much as you wish.

Is there a limit on the number of times I can vote?

There is no limit on the number of times you may vote, but members are restricted to casting only one vote per 24-hour period.

Is there a limit on the number of vote entries I can receive?

No. There is no limit to the number of votes you can receive.

How do I promote my video?

Tell your friends about your video or copy the link code and post to your blog, MySpace or Facebook page, or wherever you want friends to see your video.

Is there a time limit on my video?

The ideal video should not exceed 2 minutes.

When is the last day to submit videos?

The final day to submit your video is Monday, September 8th at 11:59 p.m. (CDT).

When is the last day I can vote?

Voting ends on Thursday September 25th at 11:59 p.m. (CDT).

How do I report abuse or an inappropriate video?

What are the copyright rules for this video contest?

All submissions and all information contained therein, including the copyright and all other intellectual property rights, become the property of FastWeb, LLC and will not be acknowledged or returned.

While you can choose to use any e-mail and password that you wish, we encourage you to use your FastWeb login information.

I've submitted a video previously. Where can I find my video?

All videos can be found on the browse page here. Check the right column view for your video. You may have to scroll down to find it, depending on the number of votes it has received and when you submitted it.

I am having a few site issues with Internet Explorer 6, what do I do?

Internet Explorer 6 has some compatibility issues with this site and we recommend upgrading your browser to the latest versions. You can get Internet Explorer 7 by clicking here or the latest Firefox browser by clicking here.
